ABOUT THE ARTIST
 

Fernando Villanueva Rivera is a Puerto Rican painter born in 1973 in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico in 1998. With a career spanning over three decades, Villanueva has established himself as a prominent figure in Neo-Pop and Post-Pop art, known for his eclectic style that often integrates artificial intelligence into his creative process.
Villanueva's work explores themes such as the beauty and madness of capitalism, challenging traditional definitions of art and aesthetics. His unique approach has been recognized both locally and internationally, with his paintings featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Notably, he received the 'Exhibición del año 2002' (Show of the Year) Award from the International Association of Art Critics, Puerto Rico Chapter. 
His artworks are part of esteemed collections, including the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and the Latin American Art Museum in Miami. Villanueva continues to innovate in the art world, blending traditional techniques with modern technology to create thought-provoking pieces that resonate with contemporary audiences
